GLOBAL ARTIST SOCIETY
"Spreading the message of peace around the world"
Founded in 2007, Global Artist Society (GAS) is working to create a peaceful and collaborative society through music. To achieve this, we have gathered talented musicians and hosted many concerts with the goals of peace, charity, and spreading music to all people.

My name is Dr. Unkyoung Kim, and I represent the Global Artist Society (GAS). GAS was founded in order to achieve charity missions through music around the world.
Six years ago I met Mr. Morrow, the medical missionary director of the Graham Foundation and a close family friend. I had always wanted to work with him, and finally, with some help, we could launch the Global Artist Society in September of 2007. On May 23, 2008, under the supervision of Senator Yim of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea, GAS held its first “Sohn Kee-chung Peace Concert” in order to remember his soul. Since then, the mission of GAS has been to spread his legacy.
Although Sohn experienced a tough period of his life during the Colonial Period, he hoped for the next generation of Koreas and Japanese to become good friends. During his award ceremony as the marathon world-record gold medalist of the 1936 Berlin Olympics, he showed the rest of the world the sadness of losing his nation. Additionally, after the division of South and North Korea, he would never be able to return to his hometown in North Korea. As such, Sohn wished for the peaceful reunification of Korea. We hope that Sohn Kee-chung’s teachings of peace will pass on in the form of the future reunification of Korea and the diplomatic issues between Japan and South Korea to reach an agreement. Furthermore, we hope to spread this peace not just to Japan and Korea, but to the entire world. We as Koreans wish for peace around the globe.
GAS plans many exchange opportunities between foreign musicians, and we aim to perform in various locations ranging from concert halls to places where listening to live music is difficult. We also hope to give orphaned children the opportunity to learn music so they may gain a new positive outlook on life. GAS is a music management that puts its biggest priority in peace and charity for others, while supporting young and talented musicians along the way. I truly believe music Is an international language that possesses the power to bring all people together. As Sohn Kee-chung wished to have a peace marathon in North Korea, GAS also hopes to hold a Peace Concert in North Korea in the future, or maybe even as a unified Korea one day.
Thank you very much for your support.
